does it have a module on the side of th dist? that would be my guess if ur not gettin any fire. ive never had a 3.0.

I just replaced the eec relay again since I had bought 2 of them, knowing the fuel relay was the same part, in case it was bad. Also changed the 30a fuse in the fuse box for the relay just in case the other was bad somehow. No change...... Had my wife crank the motor over while I poured gas in the intake, just in case. No change. Got me stumped..

Help! It's snowing now and my '92 Ranger still won't Start

I was talking to a parts man and he looked my truck up, there is no module on the dist. I've checked the main fuse box in eng compartment, all fuses looked ok, changed the EEC relay under the fuse box cause was told it would click when battery was connected and it didn't make any sounds, but the new relay doesn't either. We did check the enertia switch. It appears to be ok, couldn't push the red button any farther down than it was already. Sorry I posted in the wrong place. Was a little frustrated last night when I was posting.

hmm thats weird cuz i just looked at a 91 and a 93 and they both have em. another place it could possibly be is on the right side of th radiator. its mounted in a box. the module is grey or black and is about 1.5x2.5x.25" with a flat plug and maybe 13? wires.

So you know for sure you have no spark? I wouldn't pour fuel into your intake because you could hydrolock your engine and bend a valve or even a piston if you're not careful. Pull the spark plug and see if are getting spark. Remove the fuel pump fuse first.

I pulled a plug and by grounding it made sure i have no spark. Thkz for the info on pouring the fuel in, been a very long time since I worked on cars, back in the 70's, so I still have bad habits. Ok, secondly I found the EEC module to the right of the radiator, actually my wife found it with the flashlight, so gotta give her the credit. Yanked it out of there, rushed to the autoparts store 30 min's away... it tested good 8 times in a row. Now where do I go? Put it back in car, hooked it up, bolted it in and.... no change. No pops, no farts, nuthin. It turns over wonderfully, just won't start.

no its not but the ignition module is and u being an aerostar fan should know that cuz the aerostar was the first vehicle to have it mounted there. (not trying to sound rude sorry) ok one other thing i can think of. does the rotor under the distributor cap turn by hand. ive had the rollpin come out of the distributor gear before and was having the same problem. also isnt there a pickup coil in the distributor. thats the only other things i can think of next to the ecu.

well... You'll be ashamed of me, but I had it towed to a shop today. I never had a chance to see if the rotor turned freely, but I remember when I replaced the rotor last Wednesday, it locked into place ok, no excess wriggle. I've owned my ranger since sept, '04' always been faithful to me, transmission went out but that was my fault, ignored a leak... The parts clerk suggested it might be the ignition switch and I freaked. Just don't have the patience anymore for something like that anymore since I hit my fifties. Thank guys, I appreciate all the help but its in Gods hands now.. lol. I'll post the results when I get her back from the shop. Might help another... Love ya.. God Bless... John..
