Hey guys,
Just recently in my 1997 Mountaineer 2WD, when I go to turn the wheel, you can hear a binding in the front end, and feel a slight popping in the steering wheel. It only happens between 0-15mph, after that it isn't noticeable. From what I can tell, the suspension is all original, but it doesn't squeak.
Any ideas of what I can look for? I'm making a larger than normal paycheck this weekend, so I'd like to resolve the problem while I've got the funds.
I'd also like any input y'all may have on what front/rear shocks I can purchase to replace the originals. I regularly tow my car hauler with it, so if there are any that could assist the rear a bit more, I'd be interested. I was looking at the Monroe Sensa-Trac's, but want some more advice.
Thanks!
