Make sure each wire is on, and check to see if any of the wires are crossed. Also, check for vacuum leaks at the vacuum tree on the drivers side near the firewall.

well we put a new IAC on it and it helped alittle...then we replaced the stock plug wires with 96k on them and now its perfect..lots of power..no missing runs great

thanks though

Hi,Maybe check the gas filter. Our truck was doing the same thing.
Here we got bad gas from a gas station it had water in it,
our fuel filter was full of water, changed it runs good again
good luck

Porshia,

You might want to put a litre or so of methylated spirit or whatever alcohol you can get into the tank to dry up whatever water may be left.

When I did it, it worked better than I anticipated.

Same thing only intermittant

I wrote a couple of weeks ago about Engine misfiring and codes say dropping cylinders 1,4, and 5. Remember me? Anyway I've now thrown $700.00 or more at it and it started again last night. The problem not the truck. My wife had her mother come get her and take her back to her mothers house till I get this figured out. Her mother will take her to work. She left me here to take the kids to school on my motorcycle.I ran the codes again a couple of weeks ago. Maf,Iac, TPS. I can't remember them all but, I had already replaced most of the parts the codes identified. So I erased the codes and the truck ran fine till last night. It's back. The exact same symptoms. I ran the codes several times and they were different each time here's what they read....129 Insufficient manifold absolute pressure/MAF change during dynamic response test....137 heated o2 sensor rich left side998 hard fault present. These all read at different tests. The only one that stayed the same was a memory code 157 TPS out. I replaced that 6 weeks ago and it still ran like sh245t untill I erased the codes. FFF!!! someone figure this out. I'm stumpued and out of moolah!!

I just ran the codes again. Nothing about not getting enough fuel.In the continuous memory mode we have 172 173 177 185 157o2 lean right o2 rich right o2 rich Left MAF low pressure MAF below min. voltage. Engine running 116 137 129 536 Engine coolant temp. sensor out of range. 02 Rich Left MAP/MAF pressure Low. 335? EGR sensor voltage out of range? 536 Brake On Off failure I forgot to push the brake and turn the wheel..I guess.

Codes '94 XLT

Maybe I'm not reading them right. instead of 135 it's 1 for the seperator then 35. I don't know! Maybe My battery cables are just corroded. That was a buddy's idea. Couldn
t be that simple. If it is I'll shoot myself?>

It is certainly possible for all of these problems to be related to a bad computer ground at the battery. Best way to check ground is the measure the voltage drop across the ground wire.

You're listing a lot of codes, and I'm having a little trouble sorting out which codes go where. What are the KOEO codes? That's where to start.

Where the codes seem to be changing a lot, it's possible you have a bad connection somewhere. Have you checked the wiring carefully for loose connectors?
