1993 Eddie Bauer 4.0 4 door
I've been searching for a REALLY bad miss/bogging problem for a couple weeks. I replaced plugs, plug wires, vacuum lines, fuel filter and even put a ground strap on the firewall that the previous motor swapper didn't do. Problem still persisted.
I finally figured out how to read the codes via the CEL. The CEL had been going off on me while driving and especially when the X would barely pull a hill. I had the battery unhooked so the Continuous Memory codes were probably cleared but I was gonna check anyway, and then drive it and set the CEL off again. On Demand = 111 Continuous = 111 KOER = 172
HOWEVER, after simply running the KOEO and KOER test, the truck now purs! Plenty of power. No miss or bog.
