I am doing a convertion from a push button 4 wheel drive, to the stick on the floor. I have everything,
BUT:
I have found a small problem:
The 94 drive shaft has (I Think they are called "velocity joints" , two u-joints put close together) velocity joints that are bolted to a connector right at the t-case. The replacement t-case has a yoke that slides into the t-case.

Do they make a t-case that has veloctiy joint connections and still is manuel shift?
do I just have the wrong t-case for my applaction?
(sorry I can't spell worth a crap!:( )
Thanks for any help.

what transfer case did you pick up for your swap? a 94 ranger should have the bw1354 electronic case factory.. easiest swap for a manual would be a BW1354 or BW1350 manual t-case. right? hoping someone has a more definite answer to help out this member.

Looks like you got a BW1350 T-Case which will work but will require a different front driveshaft. You can go to the junkyard and get one from a bronco ii or early model ranger since they had the 1350s but you will have to have the driveshaft either shorthened or lengthened depending on which model you get it from. DO NOT try and use the full length ranger shaft even though it looks like it fits, it is way too long and will damage your t-case when the suspension compresses.

The manual BW1354 is the one you should have gotten and it bolts right up to your factory front driveshaft also make sure you get the right shifter as there are a few different variations. I believe all BW1354 use the same shifter while the BW1350 has a couple of different setups depending on which transmission the case was behind.

If you still want to use the BW1350 I have a ranger front driveshaft but it will need to be shortened.

Oh yea and that double u-jointed shaft is called a double cardan type shaft.

sounds like you got the 1350 case. explorers and rangers for 94 were 1354's.

Thanks Guys, I hate that electric t-case and will get this done. I will check the yard for the right shaft. I just had to change the motor in my wifes 99 mountaineer with a 5.0L in it. that was 2.5 days!!I had never done that before. Now I know how to do it (take the motor mount plates off the motor and set the motor down) I could do it in a day.
I just changed the seats in my ranger and got rid of the 60/40 crap. It feels like there is a ton of room in my cab now.
Thanks a gain for the tips:D;)

Oh I didnt see that you had a ranger, You may or may not be able to use the full length 1350 shaft.
