About 2 weeks ago someone clipped our drivers side mirror taking the mirror and drivers window out. Unfortunately it was a hit and run
Hubby replaced the glass and the mirror and took the car for a drive. About 15 min into the drive the power windows, dash lights, and radio all went dead and the the Explorer stalled.
He got the battery jumped and it lasted long enough to make the 3 min trip home before it stalled in the driveway.
Took the alternator out and it was fried so we replaced it, but the problem still occurs. Battery tested fine. Fuses all seem ok except for missing fuses 6,34,35,36 in the door fuse box. I'm not sure why those are gone.
Hubby unhooked the harness for the power windows, locks, and mirror suspecting a short somewhere in there, but the problem still occurs.
I have searched the forums and given hubby ideas on where to check but so far its leading to nothing. Any ideas to give him so he's not entirely shooting in the dark? As it sits now, we have no dash lights, the car won't run for longer than 5 min, alternator was fried but now replaced with a new one, battery checks out ok, and fuses seem to be ok. He's gotten readings on the battery from anywhere to 9.6v-12v testing between the negative cable and post.
Not sure if he could have possibly messed something up, or the force of the accident unleashed a problem.

TIA!
