I cant find this thing at all. Can anyone give me concise directions as to where it is? I think I have the correct part from the local advance auto, but still cannot locate it on the engine.

I have the upper intake manifold off.

the chiltons book says i need to remove the passenger side fuel rail.

I still dont see this thing!!! Is it near the fire wall or front of the engine? there's something on the end of the passenger fuel rail with a braided line, it looks nothing like the part I bought or what's in the chiltons book.

Here's what I bought

thanks - just a bit frustrated now !

You're correct...the after-market regulators don't look anything like the factory original you found on your truck. And, last I heard Ford doesn't sell them anymore, either. The original will have two mtg bolts to secure it to the fuel rail...and, a braided line. Try your local U Pull. My '98 also has this style...but, believe those were the only two years?

thanks, Then I did see the original with two braided lines on the fuel rail. Non of the parts stores specify that part and the chiltons manual does not identify that as the fuel pressure regulator. I'll have to see where this part is sold.
