I can't seem to find my Haynes manual and I remember reading that the heater bypass valve on my '94 has a tendency to deteriorate over time. The water pump failed on Friday and I have everything torn apart for that, changing the thermostat, and replacing all of the related hoses. I figured this would be a good time to check this bypass valve as well. What does it look like, and where is it?

I'm pretty sure it's the thing I was doing my best not to break when I was cutting the ridiculously warn and bloated hoses earlier this evening. Am I just looking for cracks and leaks in it, or is there something more sinister lurking within?

Pretty much just for leaking where the arm that moves goes into the valve and for brittle plastic if its the orig one.

Found it with ease this morning and all looked good. Thanks again for the help.
