Help I have lost the ability to clutch

I was doing some heavy acceleration when i heard something go pop and turns out i can no longer use the clutch. I can put it into 3rd gear when its running to move it but that is with out the clutch. I can turn the X on in all the gears and the clutch pedal has become soft and is very easy to push down. I checked my resivor and found out it was empty. Do i just need to bleed or is it more serious sounding then that? I also checked for leaks but found only a little fluid covering the master clutch cylinder. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Sounds like you broke your pressure plate. I was in a friends mustang when his broke and it was a loud pop, then he had no clutch, had to turn the car off to shift gears.
