Help, leaking front seal on front differential

I've got a 97 ext explorer. How hard is it to replace the seal on the front differential where the drive shaft mates to the pinion gear? It's leaking a little and I would like to fix it before it gets worse. Will I need to remove the gears out of the housing and take out the pinion gear before I can change the seal? Any advice would be great, thanks.

I believe there is a TSB for this problem. Try searching for threads on front diff or diff leak. I remember seeing several on this subject.
