What size pipe did you run?

well, from what i know, the guy at the muffler shop chopped the pipe running from the catalytic converter to the muffler in half, and then i think he welded like a 2 1/4" pipe to the muffler and the pipe that he chopped. then im running a 2.5" tailpipe

That's what the size should be. Hmmm???? Loss of back pressure will cause you to loose the low end torque. Try to do a ECU reset and see if that makes a difference. If not you may end up back at the muffler shop. Something is fishy here though, 'cause a cat back shouldt cause that much of a loss.

seems liek too much of a loss to me as well..... unless he also cut the cat off, which is very illegal....

i have a funny feeling that they did not disconnect the battery when the welded the pipe on

Yea, they connect some sort of surge protector to the battery.

Please excuse me, I know nothing about welding. That being said, what does that have to do with his problem?

LOL. We were suggesting that the Computer could possibly benefit from resetting. The increased flow could have easily changed the curves of the motor.

i also think that if they did not disconnect it or put the surge protector he could have fubared the computer

ahhhhh. I see, thanks. ;)
