Ok, so i am on the eternal quest of eliminating squeaks from my 95 limited.
It all started about 3 weeks ago when i decided one weekend that i would find that super annoying squeak under the hood. So since i had a lifetime warranty on my alternator i decided to start there. I got a new one put it in and was messing around with all the pulleys and what not to make sure everything was good. I noticed that the idler pulley was really really bad. So i go and replace that was well. Everything was great for about a week, but now i notice that i get a very quiet squeak, coming from lower in the engine.
The squeak ONLY happens under acceleration and above 20 mph. It immediately stops when i take my foot off the gas, and gets worse at interstate speeds.
I am thinking belt tensioner, though it might be AC pump, i am not sure. The power steering pump seemed fine. What else could it be?
Thanks for any input you guys might have..
Oh and one other question, would failing shocks cause the camber of the drivers side wheel to need adjustment?
