i just installed a TT/shackle lift the other day, and love it. Now I want to put new exhaust on. I want the cherry bomb extreme single in/out. but I have two pipes and only want one muffler. so can =I just put a Y-pipe on and run the single muffler? If thats a bad idea, give me some more ideas!

Yes. My current exhaust involves a Y going into a single inlet magnaflow and further down the pipe a glasspack for a resonator. It works perfectly fine. A single Cherry Bomb Extreme may sound a little raspy/tinny to you though. I recommend putting a second muffler or a glasspack further downstream to mellow out the tone. They won't be a significant hindrance to flow if that is your concern.

What do you mean raspy/tinny? Do you mean like straight piped? Or ricey? I have the 5.0. i just want something that sounds pretty agressive.

I would love to do a whole new exhaust setup, but im sitting on ~231k miles right now and dont want to throw too much money on vehicle specific upgrades. Thanks for the opinion though!

The Spintech 9000 muffler is a really agressive one. I put it on my V6 SOHC with a K&N drop in (dont know how much that really helps as far as sound) and it sounds nice and deep. I get a lot of compliments on it.
It also less then 100$ from the website if I remember correctly...
