ok, i bought a rapid velocity chip for my 2001 explorer sport. This chip requires u to install it on the IAT sensor, however, since my explorer has the mass air flow sensor tied in with the IAT, I need to install it on the coolant temperture sensor....sadly i dont know where this is. CAn anyone help me find this please.
Thanks, and diagrams are more than welcome, lol.

Most ECT sensors can be found on the intake manifold, near the water outlet housing. There will be 2 wires going to it.

donot use it it will not help your truck in any way

Tie to rock and throw. This is not a "chip" by any means and performance will not be enhanced. It is a resistor which lies to you computer and will make your life hard. Thanks-J

I have the same question except for mine being a Ranger... 4.0L, 4x4, XLT. Near the outlet housing are two sensors though... which one is the ECT? Also, these both are under the intake which would require removal or perhaps trace the harness back far enough to install the unit. Is it worth the trouble?
