So When i bought my truck about a week ago, the cd player would not work, The radio worked perfectly fine, but the cd player itself would not work. Everytime i hit eject it would say CD ERR or ERROR, I put it off for a little bit until today when i had some spare time, come to find out there is a cd stuck in there. Now before you start telling me ways to get it out, Let me just say this...I've tried everything known to man haha. Needle nose plyers, credit cards and cds to pry it out, a putty knife with gorrila glue tape on it to try to stick it onto the putty knife and then pull it out, I've even tried using those special tools that go into the 4 small holes in each corner...and tweezers...I'm pretty much disgusted right now and extremely frustrated. Anyways I decided to take the entire unit out of my truck...So i have the entire thing on my kitchen table...I cannot figure out for the life of me how to get the silver trim around the stereo off...I would take it to a car audio place, but I dont really feel like shelling out atleast $60 to get this damn stubborn CD out...Anyways here are some pictures if anyone can help, you would have no idea how much I would appreciate it.

On the side of the radio are the spring clips. Just press them in by hand on each side and the radio will slide out through the font of the fce plate.

Ok, thank you so much, I finally got the cd out, but turns out something is faulty with the eject button, Looks like im going to be putting in an aftermarket head unit, Does anyone know where you can buy a wiring harness and the mounting brackets ford the Sport trac? I've checked walmart and no such luck =(

try crutchfield.com, also metraonline.com

There are some kits listed in my thread- it's the same center bezel...

CLICK ME

NOTE- The stereo harnesses listed in the thread are not the ones you would need...

I got my bracket and wire harness at Best Buy, they were $20 each. I wired everything up in my kitchen and mounted it to that piece of the dash you have in your kitchen walked out to my truck plugged eveything in, placed the piece of dash back, put in the two bolts back and done deal.

While everything was out last night i decided to paint the trim around my dash. Turned out pretty good. But today I ran to walmart, picked up the wiring harness and the dash kit for 25$ for both. And put in an after market Sony head unit. I'm very pleased with the outcome...Here are some pictures:
