I hooked my utility trailer to my 96 Eddie Bauer and the right turn/brake signal does not work. Since the turn signal and the brake lights are separate bulbs in the rear, there must be a module that controls the voltage. There is no voltage on the green wire that controls the right turn/brake trailer light. I jerry-rigged (or is it jury-rig?) a green wire direct from the bulb on the truck direct to the trailer light temporarily. DOes anyone know anything about where this module is or does any one have a wiring diagram for a 96 XLT/Eddie Bauer? Thanks in advance.

Found the problem

Well, since no one answered, so I guess you either didn't know or have never seen the problem. It turned out to be two things. A broken wire coming out of the turn signal switch and an old worn turn signal switch. I replaced the turn signal switch after trouble shooting with a probe and a wiring diagram I got from the local Ford dealer. I solved the problem and ended up solving 3 others as well.

1. Trailer lights work
2. Windshield washer now works perfectly (had to move the lever around before to make it work)
3. High beams no longer blow fuses
4. Turn signal lane changers now work perfectly.

$62 for the switch and half a day is all it took.

Motor on dudes!
