I just purchased a used 04 Explorer this week but the driver's side front recliner handle is not there (non power seats). There's just a little metal nub sticking out from the plastic on the side of the seat. Is this a common problem and what all would I need to fix it? I look forward to the input, thanks in advance!

Pics can be added if needed!

In my experience you can either gat a different seat altogether (that what I did when Mine broke on my 94-I just swapped the fabric) or if you can find the other piece have someone weld it... This is common. My sister's 97 Ex, my 89 Bronco II, and the passenger side on my 99 Ex..

Thanks for the help. It doesn't look like anything physically broke, just maybe the plastic handle snapped off the metal piece. I'll add pics tomorrow.

Just realized I never updated this. All I had to do is purchase the seat recliner handle for about $5 bucks or so and install it on. Easy fix.

I've got this same issue. Where did you order your part from. All the sites I find online list it for the Explorer Sport and I have just a regular Explorer.
