My 2008 EB keeeeeeeeeps displaying an "oil change required warning" everytime I start up. I've tried setup and reset with the ignition on/engine off, engine on and nothing seems to work. Has anybody out there experienced this? If you know how to solve this, your help will be greatly appreciated.

I'm going to try this by memory-hope it's correct...procedure is for my 06 but the 08 should be the same

Key on (engine off or running it doesn't matter)
Press 'Setup'. A message should come up saying 'Press reset for system check'
Press reset
Oil life message should come up saying you need to change oil, then it should say 'If new oil press and hold reset'
Press and hold reset-should say oil life 100%.

Hope this helps-if not I'll have to go out and get my owners manual.

Thanks for your reply, however, it did not work. I may have to go to the dealer to check this out as it's really agravating.

Get into the Setup Menu in your message center.
1. Select “HOLD RESET IF NEW OIL” from the SETUP MENU.
2. Press and hold the SELECT/RESET control switch for more than 2 seconds. Oil life is set to 100% and “OIL LIFE SET TO 100%” is displayed.
Or it's in the owners manual page 120-121 or maybe 124-125.
If that won't do it then it's dealership time.
