Ok..I'm really not a rookie per say but I do need help in purchasing shocks for my Sport Trac. I am going to purchase the EE sway bar and thought I'd do the shocks at the same time.
I've read that people use the RS5000 and the Edelbrock along with Monroe and others...
I want more for performance than for off road, I have a Jeep for that.
Can someone give me the low-down on shocks for a stock Sport trac?
I need the good the bad the ugly I'm not wanting to spend a ton of money either so that's a factor.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

everybody had their personal preferences, but id go with the monroe's for on-roading. they offer a great ride, in my opinion. i had RS5000's on my old explorer, and it rode like a tank.

Fred, I've heard that about the RS5000's that they are a very hard ride. The Monroes...are you talking about the reflex or something like that?

I just replaced my reflex shocks with OME ones, but the monroes did me well. The ome's ride similar to the rancho 5000's (tank like) but the reflex shocks were pretty smooth.
