I have a 97 Explorer Ohv 4.0 and it has a horrible misfire and I can't figure out what is wrong with it. I have replaced the plugs and wires and it doesn't seem to have a vacuum leak. when I took it to Autozone it Pulled 11 code and 3 of them were for misfire on cylinders 4, 5, and 6. I have forgot the rest but I will have them plug it in again and post. I have also removed the wires from the coil pack while running and I had all three off and it had little to no change in idle. Any input would be helpful.

sound like a bad coil pack i would try that next i would think that would help

Would I still get spark to the plugs if the coil pack was bad? Cuz I have taken them out and there is spark at the plugs.

well if you took them three wires off and it did not affect it them they are not firing which sounds like a coil problem

ok I will try the coil pack and get back to you if it doesnt help. Thx
