alright ya'll first post. i got a 94 explorer with a 3 in lift on it, i flipped it at the end of last summer so all winter long i have been working on putting a new body on it. Now im done but have a few problems. During the process i replaced the front pump seal on my transmission. Now with the truck back together, the transmission wont pull. All my linkage is hook correctly and you can watch it move the trans from park to 1st gear no problem. also my transfer case is in 2wd. i can feel the motor bog down like it went into gear but no pull. Also the transmission did work great before the tear down. if anyone has any suggestions i would be greatly appreciative.

a couple things i was suggested, my lines to my trans cooler were hooked up backwards. ( havent tried switching them yet)

also that there wasn't enough fluid. (i ran the truck until i got warm then checked and its still full)

Unfortunately I don't have any insight into your situation, but I am wondering about your body swap... How did that go? How hard was it? What all did you have to do?

it wasnt that bad. it was me and 2 others. of course we had a shop, lift and a bobcat. the old body was so torn up that we just cut peices off and lifted it with the bobcat and lowered the new one down with the lift. it took us about 5 sundays and 5 cases of beer, day 1 was tear down, day two was cleanup and fix, day three was new body day, day 4 was hook everything backup and day 5 was start and test drive... but the test drive hasnt happened yet. the good thing about the south is no rust due to salty winter roads so that wasnt a problem. we disconnected all wire harness, steering column and 8 body bolts and she practically lifted right off.

well thanks for the info. Sorry I can't be of any help with the tranny issue. It looks like swapping the bodies would be more work than I am willing to put into my truck. I've got two 1991's, one with a shot tranny and the other with a shot body. Trying to figure out what to do - with no money up front and no transmission jack or help.
