Help!!! Rear hub bearing snap ring won't come out!!

I am in the middle of changing the left rear hub bearing on my wifes 02 explorer. I have everything apart, pressed the hub out, but now I cannot get the big snap ring out. I have a huge set of snap ring pliers which fit perfectly but I still cant move the snap ring. I have used an air hammer to try and loosen it and WD40. Any tips on getting this thing out?
