Does anyone have any advice for removing the anchor plate mounting bolts for the front disc brakes? I want to make sure I've got the right ones--there are two bolts on the back of the anchor plate, closest to the edge of the rotor, one on top and the other on the bottom. These bolts seem to have been torqued on by an inhuman force. Are they standard bolts (counterclockwise to loosen)?

Thanks in advance!

Standard bolts, righty tighty, lefty loosy. Use a 1/2 drive breaker bar if you have it. Six point socket to avoid rounding the bolt head.

Front Disc Brake Caliper Anchor Bolts torque spec = 125 - 170 ft lbs.

They are supposed to be tight, that's what holds the brakes onto your truck ;)

I bought a 1/2 inch steel pipe that is about a foot long from Lowes that I slide onto the end of my 3/8 rachet and it gives me TONS more leverage and torque. It is probably one of my most important tools and it cost about $1.50.
