Well you guys have been extremely helpful in the past, and I hope you can help me with this one. For once this does not have to do with my 98 E.B. it is my wife's car. She has a 95 mustang gt with the 5.0L and it is pretty much the same as in the X. She had a thermostat stick shut and got it hot about 3 weeks ago and ever since then, once the engine gets to normal temp, it will not restart after you turn it off like at a store. Runs great in the morning. I have cleaned the IAC, MAF, ACT and the K&N, then reset the computer. New rotor and cap. Fuel pressure regulator not leaking, and I have not been able to check pressure yet. Here is the kicker. When this happens if you hold the accelerator pedal to the floor while starting it fires right up like it was flooded and there is grey smoke for a couple of seconds from the pipes. Then it runs like crap for a little while until the gas clears from the engine. I am thinking Engine Coolant Temp. Sensor and on her engine it is right on top of the thermostat hole on the intake. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! This one is driving me nuts. Thanks.:salute:

Coolant temp sensor.

That was it. I drove it to work today and it would barely stay running. I got home and put in a new intake air temp sensor and a new coolant temp sensor. Got in and it fired right up with no hesitation. Got on the highway and took a pretty good trip and returned home and it restarted immediately and runs like a top. Thanks for the help.:biggthump
