My dad, and I are replacing the timing chain cover gasket on his 94 3.0L Aerostar, but ran into a problem. There are two studs that run from the engine block through the timing chain cover, and through a bracket that supports the A/C compressor. How do you remove the A/C compressor? Thanks.

There are a couple of bolts on the side of the bracket, and under the bracket that will have to be removed when the compressor is removed. The compressor just has a few bolts holding it, but don't disconnect the lines on the top since they are pressurized. A ratchet isn't able to fit between the frame on the passenger's side, so you will need to use a closed end box wrench. This part is a little tough to remove.
