Hi I currently have the engine out of my explorer. It's the 4.0 SOHC. I was going to do the timing chains but need the tool set to align the camshafts... The tool I'm looking for is OTC6488.
If anyone has a used one I could rent or buy that would be great, they are on back order so I can't buy it new anywhere... Or if someone knows of a different tool set or tools to set the timing... I'm open to anything. I've had the engine out for 3 weeks now and can't get the tools to complete the job. Thank you for reading, hopefully someone can help me.

Yea that would be nice... I just ordered the OTC6489. It was more expensive but if it gets the motor back in and out of my shop I'll be happy. If anyone out there knows of an alternative tool set/part number to get this thing timed please let me know.
