Help....vent temp control stuck on hot!

This morning on my way to work, I noticed that it didn't matter if I had the temp control on heat, or cool......it blows out HOT! Is rotary switch bad, or it there some kind of resistor box that went bad?

Any info would be great.

It's a 1997 Mercury Mountaineer. Thanks

Sounds like the blend door problem to me. If you do a search you should be able to find a "patch" for it. There is a writeup on the web somewhere.
