help w/ a 94 XLT

yo...i'm a newb and have some questions about an explorer.
my girlfriend has a stock 94 XLT 4x4. it has been sitting in a garage untouched for 2-3 years now. it has around 116k on it.
she will start driving it this week and i wanted to know any things that should be checked out or fixed before it's driven. it's going to her uncle's shop first to get basic stuff done (fluid change, inspection etc). anything else to check?
tires seem to be in good condition. the center console arm thing is broken off and the driver's side interior door pull part is missing as well...any places to buy replacements?
also, any good beginner mods to do?

Have you put stabil in the gas,new fuel filter for sure.You can buy the door replacement pull off of ebay for cheap.I would check the tires close,check the DOT code to find out how old they are.You can buy the center armrest thing off ebay or put a add on this site Hope this helps
