Help w/ Diamond Lamps

I just recieved my new diamong headlights and there is a chrome box around the bulb. (Yes it is a box, not like the cone shaped ones that most come with.) Here they are It is obviously going to cause a shadow so I want to remove it. Which is the best and easiest way to take apart the lamps. I've heard put them in an over but I am hesitant to put my new lamps in a hot oven. Please leave some details for me...thanks

Do a search, I saw a nice write-up I think last week, it could have been a link to a previous write-up though. I just live with it, it's not bad at all. Put some SilverStars in there and your good to go.

yeah thats really not that bad

If its that much of a bother, put them in an oven. Warm it up to 350, turn it off, put the headlights in for 10 mins, try to pry apart and if not try again.

Those are weird, they arent even diamond cut

well thanks everyone, I just took them apart and it went fairly easy. Silicon is curing so we'll see what it looks like tomorrow.
