Help w/ trans temp gauge.

I just orderd an electrical transmission temp gauge from Summit. Where is the best place to mount the sender? Thanks.

This would be a good time to add a secondary transmission filter to your truck. The kit from Summitt is about $30 and is easy to install ( Dead Link Removed This filter housing has a port for installing a tranny temp sender.

I thought about that.

I already had to replace the tranny due to overheating (caused by valve body failure), so maybe a tranny cooler would be a good idea. Thanks.

But if I didn't add a tranny cooler or secondary filter, couldn't I just splice the sender for the gauge into the metal line that enters the radiator.
