I have a 98' explorer XLT V8. Just removed the water pump and had to cut one of the bolts off (rusted)! While removing the pump I forgot one last bolt and I cracked the front aluminum case trying to remove it. I reinstalled the pump after repairing crak with JB weld, but I get a little leak on a spot where I did not JB weld it. I am going to try again but was wondering if I should use something better than JB weld or should I just replace the front case? Has anyone replaced the front case before? I think the timing gears must be removed but what else is involved? Thanks in advance.
