hey guys- i have a '91 sport that i have just recently decided to keep stock and buy a jeep instead of making it into an off-road beast. now, i do need to new tires, but i'm not sure which how big i can go w/ no lift. i want to run 30x10.5 TSL radials. i've heard 30x9.5 is the biggest i can go, but i want to know if i can squeze these w/o to much rub. thanks for the help-russel

Yes, you can get 31-10.50s on with no problem some explorers have little or no rubbing with tires.I personally haven't had any problems with rubbing.

The tread on that tire is somewhat large....you might be pushing it on that one. You will have no problem height wise, but the inside well by the engine may rub. A saw can take care of that though.

I have a 91 and test fitted 31-10.50 KO's and they rub, but not by much. With alittle cutting they would have fit (i wish i would have known what i know now). I'm running 30-9.5 and no rubbing at all. I say go for it. If the tire shop wants your business they will test fit the tire for you.

thanks a lot guys for the advice. i think i'll go for it. does anybody have any pictures w/ a similar tires size? just wondering. i'm still open for my advice. thanks again- russel
