Help with a 6-disc

I installed a in-dash factory 6-disc and I am getting a display of "disc error". When I try to load it says "slots full" even though there has never been a disc in the player. Any help would be great!!!

The CD6 unit is notorious for sustaining shipping damage.

Did you get it from a dealer, or privately?

They should come with a metal bracket to prevent the CD trays from bouncing around and binding.

There is also a way to 'park' the unit for shipping. (From memory- disconnect radio WITHOUT ANY CDS, attach, when it finishes initialization, press preset 1 and scan simultaneously, enters "ship mode" on display.)

Only way to fix is to open and unjam the trays, at least that's what I had to do...
