So my Driver side BSM (blind spot monitor) on 2016 Exp XLT been giving some issue lately like detection works at times at times nothing shows up , since the B-pillars are bit thick/wide it is difficult to see the cars coming at night and plus the tint does not help so I have to change the BSM sensor but in order for it to work I have to reprogram it and been looking online but did not find any direct info. So was wondering if folks can help here coz I dont wanna mess up anything in this process.
I do have ForScan OBD II.
TIA

This is the first time I've heard of a blind spot module. I wasn't aware there were any. I know that there are radar-type sensors behind the rear bumper that work in conjunction with the Blind Spot mirrors. Is that what you are referring to? If so, I don't know if they are programable.

Agree let me correct my post. Yes its the sensors.

I think you might be referring to the modules below

These can be programmed with FORScan - tutorial here - FORScan Tutorial

You will want to match the programming to the data displayed for your VIN on this site
https://www.motorcraftservice.com/AsBuilt
Free Resources>Quick Guides>Module Build Data (As-Built)

The module identifiers are 7C4 and 7C6.

Thank you. Looks like they have different names depending on which site or source you're looking at. Guess I've been edumacated. :)

Please report back once you have reprogrammed them to see if it fixed the problem. Thanks.
