Continuous Memory code:211 and 215. Anyone have any ideas what these codes mean?

212: Loss of ignition diagnostic monitor signal/SPOUT circuit grounded

215: DIS fault ignition system - coil #1

Any help would be great!

Cmon guys. I finally bought the dam code reader like everyone suggested now nobodys out there. I need HELP guys I don't know why I bought the code reader if I'm just gonna take the dam thing to the shop??????

Bump

I personally don't have much clue. But I can tell you that bumping every half hour won't help ya much. If someone knows, hopefully they'll post. I don't mean to be rude, but annoying people doesn't get you very far. I know you want your truck to work, but chill!

BTW, something is for sure wrong with your ignition module. Why don't you check your plug wires and investigate around your DIS unit (where the wires originate) and see if you notice anything out of the ordinary.

Alec, didn't mean to annoy anyone. My appologies. Oh and thanks for the response. I just need a starting point for trouble shooting. Thanks again!

suggestion for you my early model friend

Pick a techy from the website I'm listing below....send them a message (free) through the website, they will tell you exactly what you need to know.

Good Luck !

jcarter: Thanks I sent my question in. I've never seen or heard of that web site. I will let you know what I find out!

I just sent my question in. A 1993 explorer w/ 113,x.. miles on it. I was hoping you could maybe point me in the right direction. I hooked up a code reader to the truck, but funny thing is, it had no codes. I am getting about 10miles per gallon sometimes less, driving at 55mph. I was thinking either o2 sensors or fuel pressure regulator. One thing my mechanic noticed was that it was running an open loop?? thanks

You guys have any ideas???

Check here. The info is a little more specific. Dead Link Removed

Well, don't feel too bad about not getting
a quick reply to your post. I posted a question back last november or December and have not received any feedback. I guess folks are tired of hearing about idle problems. Also, there are a bunch of clowns out there who like to give advice but they don't know what they are talking about.
