help with mustang 04 4.6 into 02 explorer

Hey guys and gals, So yesterday I picked up a a really clean 2002 explorer, all new brakes, wheel bearings, struts and springs replaced recently. well the husband went to change the oil after all that drained it realized he didn't have the correct filter , so he ran to the store to get the correct one left the hood up and parked in the garage..... Wife came in closed hood went shopping blew rod now I own for very cheap ... haha so anyways i found a 04 mustang engine for a really good price and I think I'm going to jump on it but just trying to confirm if it will work with some switching . I understand the timing cover will switch from the explorer to mustang block minus one hole that can be rtved . I also know there isn't a place for a knock sensor but can be tapped into block or fabricated in some way to bolt on doesn't seem hard have done enough fabricating to figure it out unless somebody else has done it different? also I have read there are differences with the left side engine mount? Am I on the right tract or am I missing something besides the upper intake, will this swap work?

i myself haven't done it but i looked into doing when i bought mine with a bad head gasket. the swap will work but the 2 biggest things will be to fabricate something for the engine mount and the knock sensor aside from that you are on the right track the timing cover will have to switched the upper intake possibly also the oil pan but i don't remember for sure.
