I have a 2003 explorer v6 that continues to overheat. I have replaced the thermostat and I have checked for leaks. No leaks. The water boils and eventually overheats. The heat gauge pegs out and smoky city commences . It seems to do it more if A/C is on. Any help? Thanks Tim:mad:

A few things that can make a vehicle overheat...

-Water Pump
-Thermostat (you checked that obviously)
-Vehicles with electric fans may have issues if the fan doesn't kick in (could be fan motor, relay, etc.)
-Blown head gasket, but this would usually be associated with a leak of something somewhere
-Check to make sure that there is no large piece of trash on the front of the radiator
-I have heard of times that when everything else was ruled out, replacing the radiator fixed the problem. In my head bum radiators usually have a leak... but I guess there could be a blockage inside that restricts water flow somehow.

Hope this helps, welcome to the forum (new here myself).
