Help with my explorer

Hello Im really new to this forum but from what i have read its very helpful and i want to see if anyone can help me with my little problem. Seems that the bolts that the lug nuts go on are loose and was wondering if theres anyway to get the wheel off without breaking the lugs or the bolts. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you saying the studs (they're called "studs" by the way), are spinning which then prevents the lug nut from unscrewing off the stud?

Yes they are spinning and the thing is I cant tighten them or loosen them, and i was told might have to cut them.

Yeah, but you cant really just cut the stud because the lut nut is conical and goes 'deeper' than the face of the wheel. You could try drilling them out.

This one is a tough job. Be best way to handle this is to get someone who is really good with a torch and blow the lug off. Yes, this is dangerous and no, do not try it. Find someone who can do it without burning up your wheel.

Have you tried an impact gun? I understand that the whole stud and nut is turning, but sometimes an impact gun can burb it loose.

thanks for all the help going for a first attempt today got the replacement studs and lug nuts going to try and get the tire off.

well tryed it and worked on it found a way to get a few of the lug nuts off but i think Dopler174 is right not easy job and ill have to get the last lug nuts torched off

well braindye i guess im the wife that needs repairing and my bf doesnt know much about cars so i have to try and do most of it but i find fun in it and it gives you a good satisfaction when its fixed and you did it yourself ^_^ but i do know i cant do everything and sometimes its good to get help
