Wanted Help with steering wheel controls.

hello,I need some help with a couple of things with my 06 mountaineer.mainly my steering wheel controls quit working including the horn.I have no owners manual. Any help would very helpful.Thanks so much.

Welcome to this forum! I've moved your thread into the stock 2006-2010 section. It sounds like you have a bad clock spring.

thanks for your reply. I dont have a clue what the clockspring is. Is it an easy fix or expensive ?The horn still blows with the alarm. If you can explain a little more or any more suggestions would be great . Thanks again.

The clockspring is the part in the steering column with spring contacts pressing against a flat disk. It enables electrical contact between the steering wheel mounted switches, and the lower part of the column.

Yes and you have to pull the airbag to get to it so be prepared for that.
