2008 Sport Trac Limited
First off, I have a 2008 ST Limited 4x4. I absolutely love it. Lately I've been thinking it would look really nice with some black, aggressive looking wheels and meatier tires. I've done some research but it's all a little confusing to me. There's terms like back spacing, bolt pattern, etc. I have no idea what it all means. So my question is this. Can all you ST owners out there who have put aftermarket wheels on their ride post pics to this thread and mention what brand they are? That way I know which ones actually will fit my ST. I cant tell you how many times I find something I really like only to find out it's not compatible with the 08 ST. Or does anyone know a site or link they can share that has what I'm looking for? Thanks for sharing.

Note sure as for your actual tires size, as my STA is on 22's with a sport tire.

But if you want to know what rims will fit your ST for an off road tire, here are the Rim specs you need.

Off Set: 35mm
Bolt Pattern: 5x114
Back Spacing: 5.8" - 6.0" should be fine w/o jepoardizing ride quality.

Let's say you want 18" rims for a meatier tire,
then just Google <18" Rim 5x114> and the "shopping" link should pull up a couple hundred rims that will fit your truck. If you want to see how a few rims would look, go to TireRack.com and you can select your truck (and color) and see how the rims they carry would look on your truck.

an 18" Rim will give you plenty of room for a meatier tire, as the STA came with 20"s and the 22"s on mine still have plenty of clearance.

Hope that helps.

Your offset has to be between 25 and 44 on 8 inch wide rims to not change the handling characteristics of your sport trac. I am running 25 on my summer tires and the stock 44s with no issues. offset is distance from center the mating surface of the wheel is. It can be positive and negative. back space is the distance of the mating surface from the back of the rim.

Thanks for the responses guys. It will give me somewhere to start.
