Hesitation 03 Ranger 3.0

Hi everybody. I've read several posts on this forum and I like the way you handle yourselves. My problem is with my 2003 Ranger 3.0 flex fuel P/U cutting out under hard acceleration. Just put in a new mass airflow sensor. Bottom end got smoother but she still cuts out under hard acceleration. If I leave her floored she eventually stops cutting out. Just a quick cut out or two. Hope you can help me out, Jim.

Welcome to this forum! Check the fuel pressure. Did you ever replace the fuel filter? Is there a check engine light with a trouble code?

Engine cutting out

I changed the fuel filter first thing. It seems like an electrical issue. After thinking about it a lot, I realize that the problem seemed to of started around the same time that my speed limiter stopped "limiting" Maybe it's the limiter module?

Do you hear the fuel pump prime when you turn the key during a restart?

Do you see a check engine light while you're driving?

No.

Nothing seems wrong during normal driving. No check engine light no missing etc. It's only during high demand and anywhere from 3,000 on up. Remember I mentioned my speed limiter stopped working around the same time, and I think they might be related. Sometimes it runs clean thru the gears all the way up to redline.
