Hesitation at highway speeds.

Eh all
I have been registered for a while just had no reason to post anything..just read all the great info on the site. However a break down here...I own a 98 Explorer Sport 4.0 ltr SHOC and i believe the 5R55E trans...well not that i am having problems with the trans but I have been wondering if the problem I am encountering at highway speeds...Here In Canada 100 KPH (60 MPH) it chugs on occasion.. truck jerks...not all the time but on occasion...Trans fluid smells and looks good...but has never been changed im sure....and i have heard issues with this trans...so basically any ideas what would be causeing the chuggin at hwy speeds and what trans are easily swapped I cant find a trans anywere in Canada for this so far...

I've renamed, and moved your thread into the stock 95-01 section. Change your fuel filter, clean your MAF sensor, and add fuel injector cleaner to the gas tank.

WEll this may sound stupid but hwo do i clean the MAF...do i just spray it with Carb cleaner or is there a special technique to it..thnx for the reply

Thnx so much...I figure in ur tips there the one for the F150 is basically the same for my truck...I will be doing this in the next day or so...when changing the filter anything i need to know other then relieve the pressure in teh fuel system....and thnx again this site is the best adn has helped me since the days i ran my B2 ..that was B4 the rollover...yes I got to brave...and crashed and burned...it sukd but was an amazing site at teh same time...and loads of fun rolling 20 somthing times I was told...ahaha thnx again
