I recently broke my hand and ended up having to sell my 1993 MR2 Turbo to pay for the debt that it caused me to go into, since I don't have health insurance.
All negatives aside, I ended up landing a deal on a Green/Blue (Trying my best to not call it Teal!) 92 Explorer in decent shape with a MINT interior. Rides very comfortably and for the price I couldn't beat it ($800 from a family friend that just recently purchased a new Expedition). I has a bit of surface rust here and there that I will touch up and spot treat with primer, along with one spot near the gas door that will need some metal to be welded in and massaged back to health. I have been searching around for reliable ways to mod it, that are budget oriented as I don't mind some hard work and fabrication as long as it pays off.
Looking at lifting it (Searching in another tab as I type on and off making this thread) for a good price while keeping it safe and not worrying about reducing my safety or drivability too much. I have a friend with 33's on his Dakota, and another with 35's on his Ram, and I would like something comparable. I do go camping and fishing and would like to be able to get near where I want to be without hiking through the woods for a while. I won't be doing any crazy rock crawling or anything.
Any help would be appreciated.
