Hey Everyone! (1997 XLT V6 SOHC)

Hey everyone finally got my licence and Explorer so i thought id finally join(been around here a few times)! Spent all day getting it on the road only to get a rejection sticker.. Driver Side upper ball joint is gone. Exhaust leak, And the E brake is gone. Other then everything it still runs! In the mechanics own words "You can drive it until that ball joint goes... Then you most likely wont drive it again" How much do you think the repair for the ball joints gonna cost?

Welcome to this forum! You could replace them yourself. Autozone loans the tools.

Believe me i was thinking about it. I figure I'll give my mechanic the chance to make is pass inspection and then the machine is mine for the modifying! Do you have any good suggestions for modds?(I have been browsing around)

Fix all of the mechanical issues first before you add any mods. Check the modified 95-01 section for ideas.

Thanks man, thats the plan. Mechanic called and woke me up this morning, $1000 to fix the ball-joint, Exhaust leak, and the Parking brake. Seems like alot to me but what else am i gonna do haha.
