I'm the guy that you recommended to change my VB on my transmission because it wasn't shifting. Well I did that, and nothing happened. Here is what I've noticed so far: On drivers side of trans where the linkage is at, It feels really loose. Like I can move it with my hand. Also there is some fluid moisture around the rod that actually goes into the transmission housing itself.
Next thing, the last time it was driven it slipped out of gear about 5 blocks from my house and wouldn't go back. Then when I tried to put it in park to just walk home, it made a loud ticking sound. Like it wasn't engaging into park.
My question is, could it be due to the slop in the shifter that the truck won't go into gear. And if so, how could I fix it. Cheapest way possible, I'm just a poor college kid.
Thanks
