where is it getting mounted... bumper, roof.... if its the bumper then all the wiring should be done under the hood with a relay so the only wire to pass into the cabin is the remote lead going to a switch you can pass this 1 wire through the body hole under your left foot floor board and tap the power from the accessory plug or make it a ground activated relay by wiring it somewhat backwards.... if the switch needs power then you can tap into the illumination from somewhere on the hvac controls ... if it goes on the roof or luggage rack I would rethink this and go with something on the bumper because drilling holes in a roof is not a very good idea

It's gonna be on the number gonna cut the 2 slats off the button of the chrome grill and mount it there run it to a switch by the 4 wheel drive button because I have 3 blank buttons there, so I'm thinking of making one a button, an suggestions for that?

I thought of doing the same. Those blanks are kinda crappy and a switch doesn't fit flat. I was going to purchase an Eddie bauer trim that has all the working buttons and simply wire the power to the switch. You'll have to figure a way to label it on the front.

I ran my switch in the center console inbetween the Aux port and the cigarette lighter plug. Since my arm is typically resting on the arm rest and my hand dangles somewhere around there it is a no-brainer to hit the switch quickly.

Yeah not a bad idea I'd like it there so when an idiot with 10k bulbs comes around the corner I can blind them back.

And labeling would be easy just get a silver sharpie and right l.b for lightbar , kind of ghetto but Itd do the job.
