2000 XLT V8
Wanted to give a quick shout. I have a 2000 ford explorer XLT v8 with almost 200,000 miles and have used this site a couple of times when i've done work on it.

Noticed its harder to find instructions for a V8 though.

A couple of questions

#1- Where is a good place to buy performance parts for my explorer and what parts should I think about getting?

#2- Anybody know where the dang DPFE sensor is? The haynes manual only gives the location for the V6 version.

Welcome to this forum! What kind of performance parts are you looking for? Follow the vacuum diagram for the location of the DPFE sensor.

Headers, Heat Spacers, Spark Plug wires, i know the only intake that will fit the V8 that I have seen is the MAC. Just a good site that has a nice selection.

I'll search for the vacuum diagram. I was just wondering if somebody had a picture under the hood and had it circled, from there I could do the rest.
