Hey - I'm new!

Hi Explorers!

Just wanted to say hello (and stop the 'nag banner' asking me to post a message - LOL).

My 'rig' is a maroon 1997 Ford Explorer XLT 5.0L V8 4-door with 135K miles. I just bought it from a friend for $500. It was a 'steal' at that price; runs, passes inspection, no major issues (but a few minor ones). All-in-all a very good deal. It just needs a little TLC which I am more than happy to provide.

The only thing is that the V8 eats gas like I'm made of money! :

Just switched from 'dino' to Mobil 1 5W-30 High Mileage oil. I've always been a fan of synthetics and don't mind paying a little extra for what I consider a better oil. Plus, Mobil 1 has been having some pretty good deals lately!

That being said, I look forward to learning and contributing!

Welcome. Sounds like you got a real deal there.
Used to have a cabin on one of the inter-connecting lakes that flows into lake Winny.
Loved driving in the White mts.

Yup, I sure did get a good deal. And yes, the White Mountains are a great drive. Although sadly I ended up moving back to Mass., so now I'm actually a full-fledged m@ssh0le! C'est la vie...
