Hey everyone, how's it goin?

So I'm in the market for a Gen2 Sport Trac.

Got some questions and need opinions on a few things...

First off, the engine size. Should I go with the 4.0 V6 or the 4.6 V8? I'm looking for something that gets good fuel mileage, but that I can haul a motorcycle with from time to time. I've got a sportbike that will fit in the bed, so I won't be using a trailer all the time for that.

Next, whether to get a 4x4 or not. This mainly depends on the fuel mileage. What do you all see as far as fuel mileage goes with or without the four-wheel drive?

That's for this post, but I'd like as many opinions/thoughts/facts as I can get.

Sport Tracs do NOT get good fuel mileage. Get the V8, same mpg & better power. If it snows where you live, get a 4x4. My friend has an older Sport Trac & can fit a GSXR 1000 or TL 1000 in the bed w/ tailgate down. I just got an 07- the gen2 have a larger bed. Not sure if the Busa will fit though. I get 18-20 hwy and 14-16 city mpg. Nice trucks but pricey to buy, even with miles.

That's what I was wondering between the V8 and V6. Usually it actually makes a difference wich one you get with most vehicles, but then I got on here and saw that people are getting the same either way. I don't drive entirely too much anyways, with having the bike. I've got an 07 ZX-6R that fits just fine with the tailgate down, so I'm thinking the V8 would definitely do better with hauling it around - not that it'll happen very often
