Hey, what's this rearview mirror doing in my way??!!!!

Seriously.... typically I drive my 940 turbo wagon and let the wife drive the sport trac. I get in it today and I just notice that half my view is blocked by the darn mirror! Its not really noticeable until you drive something else then get into the sport trac. What gives, has anyone tried to remove the thing and move it up so you can see better???

it is articulating (if that's the right word).
there's a ball joint at the windshield, and a ball joint at the mirror itself.

tilt the whole assembly up at the windshield joint, then adjust the mirror itself.
